Supply that actually shrinks.

Circle sent a cease-and-desist over a name. We kept the mechanic, changed the shape, and came full circle — literally. No claimed fees, no promises in a whitepaper: every burn is a transaction you can verify.

HOW TO BURN

Send $SQUARE to the burn address. That's it.

There's no burn button, no special contract function, no team wallet pulling a lever behind the scenes. Sending tokens to the address below removes them from circulation permanently — anyone can verify it on-chain, and nobody can reverse it.

BURN ADDRESS

Once the transaction confirms, the Entropy Engine above updates automatically — no manual reporting, no taking anyone's word for it.

WHY BURNING SQUARE

The mechanic wasn't the problem. The name was.

In 2024, a meme coin called Burning Circle launched on Base with a simple deflationary mechanic — a portion of tokens burned continuously, shrinking supply over time. It built a community of thousands.

Then Circle, the company behind USDC, sent a cease-and-desist over the name, and the project handed over its domain.

The mechanic wasn't the problem. The name was.

We built Burning Square to keep the idea — supply that actually shrinks, not just marketing that claims it will — without repeating the mistake. No borrowed names, no confusion with a real company. Just the burn.

Burning Square launched paired directly against CRCL on Robinhood Chain — the irony wasn't lost on us.
